When the home was setup the crew worked very short days, this led to an extremely sloppy job on the inside. After moving in the cabinet doors began to fall off, and the normal cracks above the doors in the drywall that Solitaire is famous for.

When the service man from Abilene came the problems got worse instead of better, the cracks above the doors became large ugly mismatched mounds of drywall mud, the cabinet doors are attached now but the screw holes were stripped out and rather than just using a longer screw they were moved up or down. We were asked to list all of the problems and they would fix it. That didn't happen every morning when I wake up I see the crack in the ceiling above the bed, then walk into the bathroom and listen to the floor squeak, next I try not to look above the doors I get mad every time I do, can't look at the ceiling either the nail heads cracking through the texture really bother me, at least some of them were fixed WITH CAULK so they look worse than they did. I have decided they must send out such un qualified people to do service that you don't even want them back in your home, it worked on me!

I now live in a $140,000 piece of junk. Please take this review as advice if you are thinking about buying a Solitaire home, look at others you are not getting what you are paying for.

Reason of review: Bad quality.

Solitaire Homes Pros: Ability to sell.

Solitaire Homes Cons: Lies and misrepersentation, Poor quality.

Location: San Angelo, Texas

Yep they give excuses would be a lot cheaper to do it right in the first place, when someone buys a home don't tell them that cracks globs of sealant and water leaks and any thing else is OK. You make it right you hire people that know how to trim out a home and give quality unnoticeable repairs by time all the running back and forth and excuses you spent more money than paying for experience sometimes you gotta go back over them bridges solitaire does build a quality home but it is not complete until everything is done.

I bet most customers would even pay a little more for a quality finish. Shouldn't use same crew to level as to do trim out, foundation guys don't like to paint and vice versa, and someone that takes pride in the finish product to inspect checking everydetail, the time was spent it the factory don't let your factory workers down by letting someone with out the skill to give solitaire the good name.

of course things happen on transport but peoples consumer rights are being trampled on with out a quality finished product. Just my thoughts Without prejudice

Cracks in the drywall above the doors and windows are very common. Its an easy fix and after painted you should NOT be able to see any cracks at all.

Still even IF??? there are slight cracks... The TAPE and TEXTURED 1/2" sheet rock... Full drywall through-out home.

With a seamless close-up that gives the SOLITAIRE home a very-clean residential look and feel. STill looks way better than a MOBILE home constructed out of VINYL covered walls with those cheap (Bat-tin Strips) everywhere... And for the CABINETS found in the SOLITAIRE HOME.... I have found nothing better, at any dealership...

ANYWHERE than the SOLID-WOOD cabinets and drawers found in EVERY SOLITAIRE HOME! Also the energy efficienticy in a SOLITAIRE is 2nd to none. Our UTILITY BILL from JULY to AUGUST (TOTAL ELECTRIC) was just $127.00. CHeck it out.

I will show you any electric bill you want? With the minor issues described above... AT least you have the luxury of FIXING the PROBLEMS just like a normal SITE BUILT HOME. Instead of having to order specialty parts like I have had to do so many other times in the past.

The people SOLITAIRE are really nice, nopressure enviroment, leaving enough info to make an educated decision.

I understand both points. We have out double side sitting on our land not put together yet.

108000 dollars and several screw holes in the siding because of the wide load signs. My husband is pissed.
